Research Across America
is an Investigator Site Network (Non-SMO) with multi-specialty
sites located in Dallas, TX; New York, NY; Reading, PA; and
Carlsbad, CA;. The physicians affiliated with Research Across
America have conducted over 1,000 clinical trials since 1989.
Since that time, Research Across America has worked with almost
every major pharmaceutical company and contract research organization
(CRO) in a wide variety of therapeutics, including:

Research Group
Recently, Research Across America broadened
its therapeutic areas of expertise by adding the CNS Research
Group to its team of scientists. The CNS Research Group is
headed by Harold C. Urschel III, MD, MMA and specializes in
the area of chemical dependency (addiction), general psychiatry
and general neurological disorders including Alzheimer’s,
Parkinson’s, chronic pain, headaches and epilepsy.
Dr. Urschel’s significant background in clinical research
trials includes participation in over 10 major clinical research,
multi-site trials in the areas of chemical dependency and
general psychiatric research. The CNS Research Group has partnered
with specialists in a variety of its primary areas of research
to bring significant clinical and research expertise for any
specific trial within the CNS domain.
Although primarily based in Dallas, Texas, the CNS Research
group is able to expand its clinical sites and patient base
into both Los Angeles and Philadelphia should the customers
desire to do so. The CNS Research Group is completely integrated
within the Research Across America investigator site network
and has been created to better serve our major pharmaceutical
customers needs.

Harold
C. Urschel III, MD, MMA
The CNS Research Group is headed by Dr. Harold Urschel who
specializes in chemical dependency (addiction) and general
psychiatry. Dr. Urschel graduated from Princeton University
with a degree in neuropsychology and received his medical
degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School
in Dallas, Texas. He is a Diplomate in Psychiatry and Addiction
Psychiatry certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and
Neurology. Dr. Urschel founded the Chemical Dependency Recovery
Services program at St. Paul University Hospital in 1999,
which he has served as Medical Director. He has considerable
experience with clinical research trials including participation
in 12 national multi-site trials in chemical dependency and
general psychiatric research. Drawing from a wide-ranging
referral network of private physicians and community agencies
as well as local and national media relationships, Dr. Urschel
has consistently been among the leading recruiting sites nationwide
in addiction trials.
Dr. Urschel has partnered with specialists in a wide range
of clinical research areas in psychiatry and neurology, bringing
a wealth of clinical and research expertise for any specific
trial within the CNS domain. These include inpatient and outpatient
psychiatric trials in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder,
and schizophrenia. The CNS Research Group also provides significant
expertise with general neurological disorders including Alzheimer’s,
Parkinson’s, neuralgia, headaches, and epilepsy.
